So, in conjunction of our one year anniversary, here comes our pre-wedding pictures! HAHA!
My thoughts one year ago.
So, finally it’s my turn! Haha! Before the pictures speaks for themselves, I would like to just briefly explain what’s the story behind how I ended up being someone else’s wife.
The feeling of getting married was once scared me off. I always wonder, will I ever manage to find the perfect one. I search for awhile, experience some downfalls, gets up and move on. And by the time I stop searching, I met Alex.
We both attended a photography sharing seminar many years back and our “fate” starts there. It’s not an immediate click or “love at first sight” haha, but happens later after sometime.
Both Alex and I were born in different personalities, we experience different childhood, we grow up to be someone with totally different character. He’s a logical thinking person while I often go with my emotion. In our relationship, he’s the mature one, while I’m the playful one. I guess, that’s what they said, “Opposites attracts.”
Alex isn’t consider as someone who’s super caring, maybe because he’s busy with work or he isn’t sensitive enough but he never failed to take care and support me during my toughest time. He encourage me to grow and take really good care of me when I’m sick or when I’m in need.
Looking back, the first few months of being together was in fact the most challenging for us. We argue almost every single week. We are getting used to the “freedom” we once have, and we did not understand each other just well yet. Heart wrenching, feeling to give up and heart broken. We give us chances, and we try to be a better person for one another. I’m glad we did, as these chances leads us to where we are now, 2 and half years later, we are now husband and wife!
Speaking of our pre-wedding shots, we had a simple photo shoots. Nothing much fancy, just wanted to have some images taken before we gets married. I’ve been imagining how would my pre-wedding shots getting done, but sometimes, nothing will came according to plan! Haha. Now that the real deal is here, I just want something simple. 🙂
The whole series separate into 3 different venue, in 2 days. We had our first photo shoot all by ourselves, by using the camera timer. We had lots of fun. Haha! We portraying nobody but ourselves, nothing fancy, no props, no heavily make up and no special costume. Just a slightly matching shirt for him and dress for me with a birthday flower bouquet specially DIY by Alex as my birthday gift. I guess, that’s good enough. And it’s definitely meaningful enough for us as well. I had the same series taken with film, using my faithful LC-A with the shutter release, but unfortunately many of the shots turns out to be out-of-focus.
The second shots taken at UPM, where I get my bachelor degree from. With the green grass and the infamous UPM tree standing tall, we kinda pose a little (HAHAHA) and get some couple-posing-shots done. I’m wearing a polka dots dress, but unfortunately the dots is too small and it’s did not shown in the picture, but anyways, I had “great experience” posing in front of the camera. Haha!
The third shots we had at the same day, we move to our ROM venue. Both of us really like this place and hence we plan to do a photo shot there as for remembrance. Anyways, here comes the images! If you think it’s takes too long to load for all the images, do check out the slideshow in vimeo which I had embed it below for the summary instead. 🙂

My thoughts one year after getting married.
So, after being someone else’s wife for one whole year, nothing much change. The biggest changes is that we became Nana’s parents. And to be able to build a family together, is indeed the most “romantic” stuff that we could possibly ask for. Happy Anniversary!
Our SDE and highlights of our ROM available here. Enjoysss!
Love,
Eva Eva.
